With our One - On - One personal training, we specialize in Functional training which adapts and develops exercises that allow individuals to perform the activities of daily life more easily and without injuries. Our clients span in age and activity level, and come mostly through word-of-mouth referrals and community involvement.
Functional training, when performed correctly under the supervision of our Personal Trainers, will lead to better joint mobility and stability, as well as more efficient moment patterns. Improving these factors decreases the potential for an injury sustained during any athletic endeavor or performance in a sport and most importantly day to day activities. Functional training is:
- Integrated - It includes a variety of exercises that work on flexibility, core, balance, strength and power, focusing on multiple movement planes.
- Progressive - Progressive training steadily increases the difficulty of the task.
- Periodized - mainly by training with distributed practice and varying the tasks.
- Repeated frequently.
If you have been injured, dealt with stiffness, arthritis, or other health conditions that limit your mobility, we work to pinpoint specific muscle weakness or areas of vulnerability, and address them as part of your training program.
